Ireland's first factory built Passive House is built in Clonmel, Co
Tipperary. It was manufactured in our factory and erected on site in
2 weeks. The triple glazed windows, electricity conduits and internal
Fermacell boards were factory fitted to PassiveHaus standards. The house
achieves a PHPP calculation of 11kwh/m2/annum and an Airtightness figure
of 0.58/hr at 50Kp which is well within the PassivHaus criteria.
The walls are insulated with Cellulose Insulation pumped to a 60kg/m3
density, are lined externally with Woodfibre Insulation boards which
are plastered directly and lined internally with Fermacell. The house
is built on a Passive Slab our PassivHaus certified foundation system
making it a Thermal Bridge free construction. The HRV Air will be pre-heated
in the Conservatory by a few degrees in the Coldest Winter Days.
